VietinBanks Answers to Frequently Asked Questions

From February 2, 2017, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) has upgraded the system to a new technology, hence there are several changes. VietinBank has received some questions from customers. For your convenience when using VietinBank’s services, we would like to inform you as follows (to be updated until the system is optimized):

I am using VietinBank's products and services, and currently, I heard that all 711A accounts (ATM card accounts) have been changed to a new account number. I would like to get the correct information from VietinBank?

Answer: Firstly, VietinBank would like to send our sincere thanks to you for paying your attention and using VietinBank’s services and products. From February 2, 2017, VietinBank has applied new technology system. Therefore, VietinBank has changed the Current Account numbers and notified customers via SMS and Notification Email.

The existing 711A accounts remain the same. Customers still conduct transactions via ATM channel and at the counter as usual. For Internet Banking, customers transfer money from 711A to 711A accounts as usual. For inter-bank transfer, bill payment, savings, credit card payment, etc., please transfer the adequate amount for transaction to the new Demand Deposit Account (DDA) to conduct the transaction.

Upgrading to new technology may come with minor inconvenience at times; VietinBank highly appreciates your understanding in order to improve service quality towards “Improving the values of life” as VietinBank’s slogan.

Currently, is it possible to perform transfer with 711A accounts using VietinBank iPay Mobile app. VietinBank please kindly provide instruction so that I could perform transfer.

Answer: To perform Internet Banking transactions, please access VietinBank website at www.vietinbank.vn. Via the website, customers can use the Transfer function to transfer from 711A account to Demand Deposit Account (DDA).

From DDA, customers could perform other services like transfer, bill payment, fee payment, loan payment, savings, etc.

VietinBank Mobile iPay app is being upgraded, and will be available as soon as possible.

How can I perform intra-bank and interbank transfer?

Answer: During the technology transfer, please come to VietinBank transaction offices, ATMs or use Internet Banking services of VietinBank at www.vietinbank.vn:

At www.vietinbank.vn, you perform the following steps:

For internal transfer:

Please access Move Money ⇒ “Internal transfer” to perform transfer:

- From 711A Account to 711A Account

- From 711A Account to Demand Deposit Account (DDA);

- From Demand Deposit Account (DDA) to 711A Account;

- From one Demand Deposit Account (DDA) to Demand Deposit Account (DDA)

For interbank transfer:

Please use Move Money function ⇒ “VND Domestic Transfer”

Please note that only transfer from Demand Deposit Account (DDA). Therefore, please transfer from 711A Account to Demand Deposit Account (DDA), before transferring to other Banks.

VietinBank has instructed to transfer from 711A Account to new Demand Deposit Account (DDA) to conduct Internet Banking transactions. So, can I use 711A card to withdraw and conduct transactions at ATM?

At the moment, you can still use both 711A Account and Demand Deposit Account (DDA), so you should transfer from 711A Account to new Demand Deposit Account (DDA) to conduct Internet Banking transactions with transaction amount, not transfer all because 711A ATM cards are still available in ATM channels.

What if I have transferred all my money from 711A Account to new Demand Deposit Account (DDA)?

If you have transferred all your money from 711A Account to new Demand Deposit Account DDA, please use VietinBank's Internet Banking or Mobile Banking services with “Internal transfer”. Or you can go to VietinBank's branches, transaction offices to transfer the money back from new Demand Deposit Account (DDA) to 711A Account to conduct withdrawal transactions and other transactions at ATM from 711A Account as usual. Transfer transactions from your own 711A Account to Demand Deposit Account (DDA) will be waived.
