VietinBank supports customers in updating new mobile number prefix
In accordance with Mobile Number Conversion Decision number 798/QĐ-BTTT issued by Vietnam Ministry of Information and Communications, starting from 15/09/2018, the 11-digit mobile number will be converted to 10-digit mobile number by changing the prefix of the mobile number. To ensure uninterrupted banking services, starting from 15/09/2018, VietinBank offers customers, who own 11-digit mobile number, multiple simple and practical methods to confirm the change in your mobile number for services registered with VietinBank.
To confirm the change in your mobile number prefix, please follow one of the following methods:
- Via website: Please go to https://ebanking.vietinbank.vn/register/mobile/?lang=en on your computer or mobile device, enter the requested information and verify with the OTP sent to your mobile (customers are not required to log in to your e-banking account).
- Via SMS confirmation message: Please send CTG DS to 8149 to confirm your new mobile number prefix.
VietinBank will also send text messages to your mobile number to remind you of the change in mobile number prefix and the methods to confirm the change.
Both of the above confirmation portals are valid until 13/11/2018.
- Visit VietinBank branch or transaction office: VietinBank is happy to support with any request you may have, including confirming your mobile number prefix at any of VietinBank transaction counter.
The full functional date of the 10-digit number after you have confirmed the change in mobile number that registered for services with VietinBank:
Customers that confirmed before 14/10/2018: The 10-digit number would be in full function starting from 15/10/2018.
Customers that confirmed on or after 14/10/2018: The 10-digit number would be in full function starting from 15/11/2018.
