VietinBank financing $117 million for Jetstar Pacific’s aircraft purchase project of 10 Airbus A320s
On the afternoon of 10th October 2016 in Hanoi, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) and Jetstar Pacific had carried out the Credit Contract signing ceremony for the financing of PDP component of the purchase and leasing project of 10 Airbus A320 CEOs.

Among the attendees of this USD 117 million credit contract signing ceremony were: Mr. Dương Trí Thành – CEO of Vietnam Airlines, Jetstar Pacific’s Chairman of the Board; Mr. Lê Hồng Hà – Deputy General Director of Vietnam Airlines, CEO of Jetstar Pacific. From VietinBank side were Ms. Bùi Như Ý - Deputy General Director and Mr. Nguyễn Trần Mạnh Trung – Director of VietinBank Hà Nội Branch.
According to the contract, VietinBank will finance USD 117 million for Jetstar Pacific to deposit for, and then lease 10 Airbus A320 CEOs of Airbus.
This type of major projects often takes great time and efforts, however, with the tight collaboration, professional working attitude and high responsibilities from both parties, the documentation of the project was soon finished. At the same time, this is a highly significant event that marked the partnership between VietinBank and Jetstar Pacific.
Ms. Bùi Như Ý committed that VietinBank shall fulfill all responsibilities, efficiently and actively carry out the terms and contents of the signed contract between VietinBank and Jetstar Pacific.

The purchase project of 10 Airbus A320 CEOs is one among the most prominent aircraft purchase projects in Vietnam in general and of Jetstar Pacific in particular. Airbus will hand over afore-mentioned number of aircrafts to Jetstar Pacific by the 2nd half of 2017.
At the ceremony, Mr. Lê Hồng Hà highly appreciated the collaboration and support of VietinBank during the deposit proceeding of the above-mentioned aircraft purchase. Mr. Hà maintained: “This is the first collaboration project that shall open many collaborative opportunities in various businesses of each party’ competence. Jetstar Pacific is honored to partner with VietinBank – The Leading bank of Vietnam.”
The Credit Contract for the financing of PDP component of the purchase and leasing project of 10 Airbus A320 CEOs was handed to VietinBank Hanoi Branch as the branch shall act as the focal point to deploy in conjunction with Jetstar Pacific.
