The changes were detailed as follows:
Monthly Balance Alert SMS service charge was based on number of actual SMS message in the period. Accordingly, in lieu of monthly fixed fee, excessive SMS fee would be paid for over 14 SMSs/month.
The service charge period started from the first day to the last day of the month and fee collection time was changed from opening to closing fee collection. The service charge would be collected within first week of the month, following the period.
Therefore, for September 2023 period, the collection schedule was moved to the first week of October 2023 in stead of early period so that the system may summarize number of SMSs used in September 2023.
Moreover, the service package of SMS-based CA balance alert would be stopped for transactions from VND 1,000.
For clarification of new billing method, the detailed examples were shown below:
- If your number of balance alert SMSs in September 2023 was 14 or fewer, the available fixed fee would be still applied. Accordingly, the service charge in September period would be VND 11,000 (inclusive VAT).
- If your number of balance alert SMS in September 2023 was 15 or more, the billing method would be based on actual number of SMSs. For example, you had 50 SMS in the period of September 2023, your service charge in September would be: 50 SMSs*VND 880/SMS = VND 44,000 (inclusive VAT).
