Facepay Plus adds an extra authentication step using the chip-based ID card combined with facial recognition, enhancing the security of VietinBank iPay accounts. This feature will be applied when logging in on other devices. With a customizable on/off setting in the Personal section, the Facepay Plus feature will ensure that all activation operations are performed by the account owner and protected at the highest level.

The introduction of Facepay Plus demonstrates VietinBank's strong commitment to:

• Strengthening the security layer for digital bank accounts, minimizing the risk of fraud.
• Ensuring a seamless experience: customers only need to scan their chip-based ID card and face to quickly activate the service.

4 steps to activate VietinBank iPay on another device:

• Step 1: Log in and agree to the new authentication
• Step 2: Scan the chip-based ID card
• Step 3: Customer takes a photo of their face
• Step 4: Confirm the OTP code

Note:

The Facepay Plus authentication method is enabled by default for customers to enhance the security of their accounts. If customers wish to disable authentication, they can do so by:

• Method 1: Log in to the application, then go to Settings, select "FacePay Plus Authentication Settings"
• Method 2: Contact the switchboard for assistance
• Method 3: Bring your ID card to a branch/transaction office for assistance

This feature currently only supports customers with Vietnamese nationality who have updated their Biometrics using a chip-based ID card. Please complete the Biometric update to continue using the service.
