From 15th to 16th Feb 2017, BTMU's delegation led by Mr. Oyamada - BTMU's President and CEO paid a visit to VietinBank

On VietinBank side, Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Alternate member of the Central Party Committee, Member of the National Assembly and VietinBank's Chairman; Mr. Le Duc Tho - CEO and others members of VietinBank Management Team as well as representatives of VietinBank head office had received BTMU delegation.
At the meeting, on behalf of VietinBank's Management Team, Chairman Nguyen Van Thang welcomes Mr. Oyamada and his delegation to VietinBank. The two parties has evaluated the recent results of the partnership and discussed to elevate the strategic partnership in the coming time.
Mr. Oyamada expressed his sincere thanks for VietinBank's warm welcome and congratulated VietinBank’s successful launch of the Core Banking system. On be half of BTMU, Mr. Oyamada also appreciated VietinBank's 2016 profit target accomplishment, as this was also a great delight to BTMU. 2017 is the final year of 2015-2017 medium-term business plan, and Mr. Oyamada believed that VietinBank would achieve its objectives. Mr. Oyamada said that BTMU would continue to support VietinBank to fulfill its objectives with the contribution of BTMU's secondees and BTMU branches in Vietnam as well as relevant HO departments and units.

BTMU commits its long-term cooperation with VietinBank so that VietinBank would not only further solidify its position as the leading bank in Vietnam market, but also spread its wings to become one of the major bank of ASEAN region.
Mr. Oyamada had also had a meeting with Vietnam's Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc during his visit schedule. Mr. Oyamada reported to the Prime Minister on the successful strategic partnership between BTMU and VietinBank. This is a strategic and long-term cooperation between the two leading banks of the two countries. He also maintained that this partnership had reaped fruitful results thanks to the win-win cooperative spirit.
Mr. Nguyen Van Thang - Chairman of VietinBank thanked BTMU for its close cooperation with VietinBank and expresses his confidence that with VietinBank's efforts and BTMU's companionship, VietinBank will continue to achieve significant breakthrough in the near future.
