VietinBank receives 3 awards by The Asian Banker
VietinBank has been honored with three big awards by The Asian Banker in the evening of January 12, 2018 in Hanoi.

Mr Nguyen Kim Anh - Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam was present. From VietinBank, there were Mr Tran Cong Quynh Lan, Deputy General Director cum Director of IT Center and Ms Tran Thi Minh Duc - Director of the Operations Division cum Deputy General Director.
The Asian Banker is the prestige magazine specializing in banking and finance in Asia Pacific. The magazine attracts hundreds of thousands of business readers in the region and all over the world. Every year, the magazine holds a vote to select the best bank in several important areas, such as: Trade finance, monetary management, payment, etc. Banks awarded by The Asian Banker are prestige ones from different countries, with high quality service and prestige.
This year, VietinBank is voted by the The Asian Banker and awarded with 3 big awards, including: Best Data Analytics Project; SME Bank of the Year, and Best Core Banking Project.
These awards are under Vietnam Country Awards 2018 held by The Asian Banker. The awards provide accurate standards in terms of performance of banks over the year in various fields. The awards are assessed through a completely neutral selection and voting process over a course of 2-3 months, with the participation of a group of senior researchers with experiences in large financial organizations in the globe.

“Vietnam best data analysis project” award - Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) project has brought VietinBank a full, timely and high valued source of information which contributes greatly in internal management, risk management and business development of VietinBank. EDW has been integrated with source systems which serve almost all the functional departments in VietinBank. The system has helped improve sales management capacity, develop effective marketing strategy, so the bank can provide more suitable products to the market and build creative advantages. Besides, EDW is also a data source for the systems under Basel II which VietinBank has implemented.
In the era of technology 4.0, data analysis is the heart of banking business development in the aim of finding new sources of knowledge by data analyzing and mining.
Hopefully in the future, with the possession of “large” data warehouse, VietinBank will create and supply many excellent products, banking services in technology, smart features enhancing competitive power in the trend of integration and globalization.
