President of the Joyo Bank visits VietinBank

On 23rd February 2017, Mr. Kauyoshi Terakado - President of The Joyo Bank Ltd (Japan) paid a visit to VietinBank.

Mr. Le Duc Tho - VietinBank’s CEO; Mr. Hiroyuki Nagata - VietinBank Board Member cum Deputy General Director and representatives of VietinBank’s departments had received The Joyo Bank’s delegation.

The Joyo Bank, Ltd. is a Japanese regional bank that is headquartered in Ibaraki Prefecture. The Bank was established in 1935 on the basis of merging Tokiwa Bank and Goju Bank. As of 31/03/2016, the Bank has a wide range network of 150 branches, 29 sub-branches, 3 overseas representative offices and 9 subsidiaries.

On 15th December 2016, VietinBank, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd (BTMU) and The Joyo Bank Ltd signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote the collaboration in respect of exchanging information and serving customers of each Party.

At this meeting, Mr. Kauyoshi Terakado and CEO Le Duc Tho introduced about each party’s strengths and reached consensus on collaboration mechanism to fully utilize strong points of both banks.

Mr. Terakado expressed his sincere thanks for CEO Le Duc Tho’s warm welcome and looked forwards to the result of the partnership with VietinBank in the upcoming time. He believed that thanks to the collaboration with BTMU and VietinBank, the Joyo Bank would well serve their Japanese customers who are currently investing or going to make investment into Vietnam as well as have many other collaboration opportunities in the time to come.

CEO Le Duc Tho had introduced about positive strategic partnership between VietinBank and BTMU- 2 leading financial institutions of Vietnam and Japan, strongly contributing to promote economic, commercial and investment partnership between the two nations. The relation among three parties (VietinBank - BTMU - The Joyo Bank Ltd) would help fully utilize potential of each party, bringing about true value to customers. With such wide customer base, profound business matching experiences, VietinBank, BTMU and The Joyo Bank Ltd will together strengthen collaboration, introduce customers to each other, making great contribution to the relation between the two countries. CEO Le Duc Tho would like the two banks to implement detailed collaboration plans to cultivate wonderful partnership result in the upcoming time.
