VietinBank’s General Director visiting and working with US Ambassador to Vietnam

Recently, in receiving the invitation of Mr. Ted Osius – US Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Lê Đức Thọ - General Director of Vietnam Joint-Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) has paid a visit and had a working session with the Ambassador and Diplomatic counselor of the US in Hanoi. Among the participants, from VietinBank side were managers from Financial Institution Department and Capital Dealings and Financial Planning Department; from the US side were Mr. Stuart Schaag – Commercial counselor; Mr. John J. Hill – Economic counselor and Mr. Brett Blackshaw – Politic counselor.

General Director Lê Đức Thọ has discussed with the Ambassador and Counselors about the contents regarding the expansion and enhancement of economic, trading and investment efficiency between Vietnam and the US. VietinBank’s General Director also mentioned the direction that VietinBank could take to contribute more in order to accelerate the collaboration efficiency between VietinBank and the financial-banking institutions, corporations as well as investors from the US in the coming time.

Representing the Management Team of VietinBank, General Director Lê Đức Thọ expresses his thanks to the effort of Ambassador Ted Osius in connecting the commercial and investment ties between the two countries, including the promotion of the support for US companies for more extensive and deeper investment in Vietnam market.

The US Ambassador to Vietnam and VietinBank’s General Director Lê Đức Thọ believed that the 2017 APEC summit to be held in Vietnam would be successful. This will be an important connection to boost the economy, free trade and investment between Vietnam and the US, as well as between Vietnam and all countries and territories across the world.

The working session ended successfully. VietinBank’s General Director Lê Đức Thọ sent his sincere thanks to Ambassador Ted Osius and the US counselors in Vietnam for showing VietinBank special affection.

General Director Lê Đức Thọ wished to receive more attention from the Ambassador and American financial institutions and corporations. He affirmed that he would accelerate the cooperation with the US Embassy in Vietnam to organize business matching events for American and Vietnamese companies in the coming time.
